About me
Elizabeth Chu, MD, is a clinical assistant professor within the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She grew up in the dynamic heart of Seoul, South Korea, and later attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA, for her undergraduate studies. She earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, before pursuing her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Florida. After completing her fellowship, she stayed on as faculty at the University of Florida, where she enjoys teaching and mentoring trainees.
Dr. Chu is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include inflammatory muscle diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoporosis, and interstitial lung disease. She is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology, the International Myositis Assessment and Clinical Studies Group, and the Myositis Clinical Trial Consortium (MCTC).
Outside of work, Dr. Chu enjoys traveling, Pilates, playing tennis and the cello, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones.
