About me

I'm Evette Reed, a physical therapist at UF Health specializing in pelvic health. My journey into this field began with a passion for human anatomy and physiology, nurtured throughout high school. Following my own experience with physical therapy rehabilitation after ankle surgery and a visit to a PT school gross anatomy lab, I was inspired to pursue physical therapy.

Graduating with a bachelor of science in physical therapy from Louisiana State University Medical Center Shreveport and Louisiana State University Baton Rouge, I embarked on a career dedicated to assisting patients with pelvic health issues. My expertise covers a wide range of conditions affecting individuals of all genders, including pelvic pain, incontinence, pregnancy-related discomfort and post-surgical recovery, among others.

In my practice, I strive to create a supportive environment where patients can openly discuss their concerns and understand their bodies better. My goal is to facilitate healing and improve musculoskeletal and visceral function, empowering individuals to regain control over their health. Throughout my career, I've contributed to several studies aimed at improving patient outcomes, co-authoring six research papers focusing on diverse aspects of physical therapy interventions.

Outside of work, I indulge my passion for home renovation and woodworking whenever I can carve out some free time. I find joy in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing improvements within my home. Additionally, I cherish moments spent with my two children, watching them grow and journey into adulthood. As a proud Cajun, I hold deep appreciation for my Louisiana heritage, culture, and cuisine, which remain integral parts of my identity and life.
