About me

I am an associate professor in the division of plastic surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine. My clinical interests include reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery.

I received my bachelor’s in biochemistry and medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. After achieving these degrees, I went on to pursue two residencies, one in general surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and another in plastic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, I completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at California Pacific Medical Center.

Upon completing my training, I practiced in California for over 25 years, and focused on aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction and hand surgery. I returned to academics and teaching at Albany Medical Center in 2020. I am a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and am certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Additionally, I contributed to several research publications, attended seminars, and served as a consultant for the development of tissue expanders and biomaterials for breast reconstruction.

My areas of focus

My patients come first! Patient care is the highest priority, regardless of the clinical situation. I approach every situation thoroughly and methodically and provide patients with options and recommendations for care. This approach is consistent regardless of whether the care is being sought for elective aesthetic issues or reconstruction of defects.
