My bio
Dr. Giuliano De Portu is the program director of the Medical Student Ultrasound Curriculum at the College of Medicine. He was the creator of the undergraduate curriculum in ultrasound for medical students. He is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and obtained his medical degree at Ross University. He completed his intern year in emergency medicine at the University of Puerto Rico, later transferring to the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he finished his residency program. Following residency, Dr. De Portu was the first ultrasound fellow in the UF Department of Emergency Medicine. Currently he serves as Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. His clinical interests include integrating ultrasound to the medical school curriculum.
