My bio

My name is Gregory Wells, MD, and I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2020 as a clinical assistant professor and associate chief of nonoperative anesthesia with a focus on the UF Health Endoscopy Center, where I’m the anesthesia director.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and my medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. I completed a residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit as well as a residency in anesthesiology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago.

Prior to joining the University of Florida, I worked at CRH Anesthesia Management in Atlanta, where I was medical director for anesthesia services, a position in which I provided medical direction to certified registered nurse anesthetists.
