My bio
My name is Jack Hagan, MD, and I am an assistant professor in the UF Department of Anesthesiology. In 2015, I joined the department in the Divisions of Ambulatory Anesthesia, Multispecialty Anesthesiology, and Vascular Anesthesia. I received my medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, and received postdoctoral training at the Navy Medical Center in San Diego, CA, as well as at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, FL. I completed my anesthesiology residency at the University of Minnesota.
During Operation Iraqi Freedom, I served on the Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron, where I was deployed overseas as an air combat element aerospace physician. During my deployment, I organized aerospace casualty evacuation, deployment of remote flight line first-aid and triage stations, and aerospace primary care for over 2,400 marines. Before coming to the University of Florida, I served as head of the Department of Anesthesiology at Naval Hospital Beaufort in South Carolina.
