Jill E Hendrickson, MS, MSSW, LCGC

Jill Hendrickson, MS, MSSW, LCGC, is a genetic counselor at the University of Florida Health Aortic Disease Center. Jill provides pre- and post-testing genetic counseling to patients with aortic and possible connective tissue disorders. She also identifies and coordinates genomic testing for patients, as well as works closely with the laboratories and providers who help with this testing. She works with patients to guide them effectively on what genetic issues they should be aware of and how to respond to them. Most recently, Jill was the genetic counselor for maternal fetal medicine at UF Health.

Jill earned her bachelors in biology from Southwest Minnesota State University, in Marshall, Minnesota, and went on to get her master’s degree in medical genetics and her masters in social work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is board certified in genetic counseling by the American Board of Medical Genetics and the American Board of Genetic Counselors.

Jill has been a consultant on numerous clinical trials and genetic disease foundations, and has spoken extensively on a variety of genetic diseases and the role counseling plays. She has also been published in medical publications ranging from the American Journal of Medical Genetics to the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. Additionally, Jill has served as executive producer for the "Love in Any Language: Angelman Syndrome" video produced at the University of Florida.
