My name is Jillian Knippen, I am a physical therapy assistant at UF Health. I earned my bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science from Gannon University. I then pursued further studies at South University where I completed my PTA physical therapy assistant program.

The seed for my career was planted in high school, where I was a competitive swimmer and dancer. A personal low back injury led me to experience the transformative power of physical therapy, igniting a passion to help others in their healing journeys.

My dedication to the field is reflected in my certifications, including being a board-certified physical therapy assistant and holding the aquatic therapy and rehabilitation certification from the Aquatic Therapy Rehabilitation Institute. As an advocate for aquatic therapy, I aspire to bring my enthusiasm for this unique approach to patient care. I believe in the efficacy of aquatic therapy in promoting healing and improving the well-being of individuals under my care. In addition, it's an honor to be recognized for my commitment to patient satisfaction, having been awarded the UF Health Outstanding Patient Experience Award in 2022.

Outside of the clinic, I find joy in staying active, cycling on my spin bike and passionately cheering for both the Steelers and the Gators. Family, friends and my adorable dog are integral parts of my life, and I cherish moments spent with my husband in the beautiful Florida sunshine. Proudly hailing from Erie, PA, I now proudly call myself a true Floridian.
