John M DeLoach, PT, DPT
About me
My name is Jack DeLoach, PT, DPT and I am a pediatric physical therapist at the University of Florida. I received my degrees from the University of Florida, specializing in early intervention for children with disabilities and high intensity needs through the INSPIRE grant program. Using a coaching and consultative approach, I strive to be a family centered, inclusive, evidence based, and fun pediatric physical therapist. I have extensive experience working with children birth-21 years old with a wide range of conditions primarily in the clinic; and while hospitalized in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or medical/surgical units.
My clinical interests include providing early intervention therapy for children 0-3 years old, and treating older children with chronic pain. As a part of my role, I serve as the physical therapist for the Hemostasis Treatment Center, serving children and adults with bleeding disorders that result in arthropathy. I am involved in taking measurements and assessing joint health for multiple studies, and have a clinical trial funded by the National Bleeding Disorder Foundation investigating the effects of exercise on vascular access.
As a physical therapist, I believe laughter and movement are the most transformative medicines that we have, and I am committed to celebrating the unique abilities of every child and supporting caregivers through their families’ journey. I envision a world where every child can thrive by experiencing the joy of sports and the adventure of the outdoors.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and cats, hiking, camping, and running ultramarathons.
