I graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine before moving to Ohio for my internship and residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University. I served as chief resident at Case Western, where I devoted my time to teaching and quality improvement. I then attended Harvard Medical School Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where I trained in both general and interventional cardiology. During this fellowship, I earned a Master in Public Health in healthcare management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
