About me
Hello, I'm Lynne Owens, a physical therapist at UF Health. I obtained my bachelor of science degree from Florida A&M University, focusing on physical therapy.
In my practice, I provide comprehensive pelvic health physical therapy services for a wide range of conditions, including constipation, urinary and fecal urgency/frequency/incontinence, pelvic pain, genital pain, painful intercourse, painful menstruation, pregnancy and postpartum pain and dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, low back/hip/pelvic girdle and sacroiliac joint disorders, abdominal pain, scar tissue restriction and pain, core weakness and instability. I also assist with post-surgical recovery following gynecological, prostate, cancer and gender affirmation surgeries, as well as addressing cancer treatment-related problems such as sexual dysfunction, post-surgical and post-radiation management.
What drives me in this profession is the combination of science and problem-solving. I see myself as a detective investigating the mysteries of the human body, and the ability to alleviate suffering brings me immense satisfaction.
Outside of work, you'll often find me outdoors, tending to my gardens, chickens and spending time with my dog.
