About me
My name is Mahmoud Ahmad, MD, and I am a surgical critical care surgeon at Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach. My clinical interests include hernias, appendicitis, hemorrhagic shock, exploratory laparotomy and penetrating thoracic trauma. I treat my patients like family members and aim to bring loved ones back to their families.
I completed my medical degree at American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Shortly thereafter, I completed a surgery internship at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, New York, and general surgery residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami, where I served as chief resident and subsequently completed a surgical critical care fellowship. I also earned a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix.
Additionally, I’m interested in advancing general surgery resident education and community awareness. In my free time, I enjoy reading, kayaking and spending time with my daughter.
