About me

Dr. Marie Berg is a neonatologist and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She earned her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her training in both Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Berg has had a longstanding interest in neonatal neurology, and during her fellowship focused on hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. She later served as faculty at the University of Vermont Children's Hospital, where she developed an interest in systematic review and meta-analysis. She has a strong commitment to medical education, and while at UVM served as Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Director. She later worked with the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, where she developed an interest in quality improvement. Dr. Berg serves as Medical Director of the NICU and Co-Physician Director of Quality for Pediatrics. She is an Associate Editor of the Cochrane Neonatal Review Group and is leading the most recent Cochrane Review on cooling for newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
