My bio

Martina Murphy, MD is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Florida. She is clinical investigator and medical educator with a passion for women's health who specializes in caring for patients with gynecologic malignancies. Her research focuses in the equitable and accurate healthcare communication across the oncology spectrum. In addition, her work focuses on issues related to quality cancer care and cancer survivorship. Dr. Murphy has a strong dedication to medical education and is actively involved on a national level in research and initiatives in medical education primarily related to mentorship, career & professional development and novel curriculum development. She serves as the Program Director for the UF Hematology/Oncology fellowship program. Additionally, she is the Assistant Director for Clinical Education for the UF Health Cancer Center.

Dr. Murphy is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), is a graduate of the ASCO Educational Scholars Program and serves as the Vice-Chair for Mentorship in ASCO's Medical Education Community of Practice. She is a graduate of the ASH Medical Educators Institute where she previously served as a faculty mentor. She sees patients with gynecological cancer at UF Health.
