My bio

My name is Meghan Brennan, MD, and I joined the department as an assistant professor in the divisions of Critical Care Medicine and Liver & Transplant Anesthesia in 2018. I earned my medical degree from the University of Miami, and completed both my residency and critical care medicine fellowship here at the University of Florida. Before earning my medical degree, I worked as a statistician for the College of Agriculture and the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, both here at the University of Florida.

In 2023, I was appointed the clinical director of research for the Division of Critical Care Medicine. I am very invested in engaging the critical care medicine team in research and encouraging collaborations. One of my current interests in research has to do with artificial intelligence and improving quality and safety for patients. I am also interested in mentoring and teaching the next generation of anesthesiologists and I was awarded and Exemplary Teacher Award from the UF College of Medicine in 2022.
