My bio
My name is Nishanthi Kandiah, MD, and I am an assistant professor in the UF Department of Anesthesiology. In 2023, I joined the department in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology. I earned my medical degree and completed my anesthesiology residency at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. I completed fellowships in pediatric anesthesiology and chronic pain at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Boston Children’s Hospital.
Prior to joining the department, I was an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh and a staff pediatric anesthesiologist at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. I’ve also taught at Yale University, Harvard University, the University of Washington, and the University of Nebraska.
In my free time, I enjoy playing badminton and board games, reading, and traveling.
