About me
Hi, my name is Rachael Dorsey, I am an occupational therapist at UF Health. I attended the University of Florida, where I earned my master's degree in occupational therapy. I also have a bachelor’s in health science and an associate degree in psychology.
As a board-certified occupational therapist, I'm passionate about working with patients facing movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions, concussions, brain injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, neurological visual impairments and pelvic floor dysfunction. My interest in occupational therapy was sparked by its holistic approach and the vast range of treatment areas it provides to help patients return to meaningful and purposeful activities that occupy their time.
In my role, I am committed to being a partner in the care of our patients, helping them meet their specific goals. I believe in recognizing the patient as the expert on themselves and their needs, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered approach to rehabilitation. It's fulfilling to contribute to the holistic well-being of individuals by supporting them in returning to the activities that bring meaning and purpose to their lives.
