About me
A radiation oncologist for more than 15 years and now a clinical professor, Dr. Romaine Nichols specializes in treating cancers of the lung and prostate. Prior to joining UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, he served as medical director of Bay Medical Regional Cancer Center, Panama City, Fla. Author or coauthor of more than 25 peer reviewed publications and meeting presentations, his work has appeared in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics. A University of Florida Department of Radiation Oncology assistant professor since 2008, he serves as the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) principal investigator for both the Jacksonville and Gainesville campuses.
