My bio
Rubee Gugol, MD, is board-certified in pediatric cardiology. Dr. Gugol received her medical degree from Da Le Salle University in Cavite, Philippines. She then went on to complete her residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. It was there that she served as the chief resident. Following her residency, Dr. Gugol completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
For 12 years, Dr. Gugol was one of two pediatric cardiologists, serving Lake Charles and the southwest Louisiana area. She served as the board director for the Pediatric Cardiology of the Local Heart Foundation, a non-profit group. Her clinical interest includes congenital heart disease, echocardiograms, echocardiography (ECHO), preventative cardiology and pediatric cardiology. She is fluent in Spanish and Filipino.
