My bio
My name is Sebastián Gatica-Moris, MD, and I joined the Department of Anesthesiology in 2019 as an assistant professor in the Divisions of Critical Care Medicine and Multispecialty Anesthesiology. I earned my medical degree at Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and completed a research fellowship and anesthesiology residency at the University of Puerto Rico. I completed fellowships in both Critical Care Medicine and Neuroanesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
One of my areas of interest is in the care of patients suffering from complex and serious neurological conditions. In 2022, I earned a subspecialty certification in neurocritical care co-sponsored by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology (ABPN) and by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
