My bio
Tessy Korah, MD, is an associate professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of Florida. Board certified in general psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry, she also is the medical director of the geriatric psychiatry unit at UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital.
Dr. Korah received a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Kerala in India. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Bangalore in Karnataka State, India. Dr. Korah completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Connecticut, where she also held the position of chief resident. She completed her fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at The Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry, Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
Dr. Korah is a member of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities to medical students and residents, Dr. Korah has been working with adult and geriatric patients at UF Health since 2005.
