About me
I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care since 2010. I received my Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Miami in 2001, and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. I came to the University of Florida for a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care (2010), after which I joined as faculty. During his fellowship, my research was focused on control of the innate immune response by surfactant protein A. His current clinical interests include ingestions, snake envenomations, and environmental hazards.
I serve as the Director of the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship, and is also the Assistant Medical Director for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
