My bio
Tricia Swan, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Swan earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. Following medical school, she completed a pediatric residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and then a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Missouri. She then returned to UF to obtain her master’s degree in educational technology.
Dr. Swan has served on several committees, including the Pediatric Disaster Committee, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Education Committee and Pediatric Emergency Department Development Committee. She is also a fellow in professional organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Emergency Physicians, while also being a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. She has given lectures all over the country and has contributed to several publications.
