My bio
Hi! My name is Dr. Zachary Gohsman. You can also call me Dr Zac. I grew up in Savannah, Georgia and received my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah. I received my medical degree from Mercer University in Savannah, as well. I completed my pediatric residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in June 2019. My family and I came to Gainesville because we love the area and all that academic medicine and UF has to offer.
In July 2019, I started as faculty at UF Health Pediatrics – Tower Square. I have a special interest in child abuse medicine and the prevention of child abuse and neglect. I will be assisting the Child Protection Team (CPT) at UF as a medical provider. My clinical interests include preventative health care, exercise and healthy living, growth and development, Type 1 diabetes, child abuse medicine and wilderness medicine. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading books of all genres. As a former Ranger for The United States Fish and Wildlife Service in Savannah, I also love being outdoors and can often be found looking for birds or reptiles at one of the many parks or nature preserves in Gainesville.
