In our dental center, care is provided by residents who have a dental degree and are continuing with advanced dental education. All care is performed with UF College of Dentistry faculty supervision. Fees are generally 80 percent of those in private practice.
Operative dentistry involves prevention and treatment of diseases or defects of the teeth that may or may not require a restoration. Esthetic dentistry is an area of dentistry that strives to emulate harmonious form and function, that includes all aspects of cosmetic and digital dentistry.
The UF Health Resident Operative and Esthetic Dentistry Center combines both areas, providing contemporary restorative treatments that resolve oral health issues as well as cosmetic issues – creating a beautiful and healthy smile. We perform a full complement of procedures including esthetic and smile analysis, teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, ceramic anterior and posterior restorations, computer-generated ceramic restorations, composite (direct and indirect restorations) with contemporary esthetic materials, state of the art equipment and implant restorations.
Our oral health services include:
- Preventive dentistry (sealants, sensitivity, cavity control)
- Comprehensive dentistry
- Esthetic dentistry (teeth whitening, diastema closures, crowns, veneers)
- Tooth-colored restorations
- Porcelain or gold inlays and onlays
- Implant dentistry
- CAD/CAM restoration (1 appointment crowns)
- Other aspects of esthetic bonding
