The University of Florida Health Shands Children’s Hospital is one of the best children’s hospitals in Florida and is ranked in several specialties nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings.
In its annual Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, U.S. News ranked the following five UF Health pediatric programs among the nation’s best this year:
- Cardiology and Heart Surgery – 38th nationally
- Diabetes and Endocrinology – 33rd nationally
- Pulmonology & Lung Surgery – 23rd nationally
- Cancer – 49th nationally
- Pediatric and adolescent behavior health – top 50 in the nation

UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is expanding to exceed the needs of our pediatric patient populations. We will have 204 licensed beds in the children’s hospital when our expansions are complete.
