UF addiction expert's new book helps families deal with substance abuse
When one member of a family is affected by substance abuse, the whole family is affected, according to Scott Teitelbaum, M.D., the division chief for addiction medicine in the department of psychiatry. His new book, "Addiction: A Family Affair," is intended to be a resource for people who are facing problems of substance abuse or addiction in their families. The book covers the warning signs of substance abuse to when and how to have family discussions.
