Your Transplant Community Involvement
Our team members lecture worldwide, are actively involved in transplant policy-making committees and research. They also enjoy being active in the community.
Outside the hospital, our clinicians eagerly support our patients’ interests and engage with people in the community to help the public learn more about organ donation and transplantation.
Physicians, staff and patients raise awareness during National Donate Life month by participating in running and cycling events like the Katie Ride for Life to showcase how organ donation helps patients lead healthy and active lifestyles.
Team members also host organ donation and transplant education at Dance Marathon at the University of Florida with student organization UF Donate Life and at National Kidney Foundation Surf Festival.
