Therapists specifically trained in hand therapy from UF Health Shands Rehab Center offer specialized and comprehensive hand and upper extremity care at UF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute.
The UF Health Rehab Center - OSMI provides occupational and physical therapy services. Our staff consists of certified hand therapists and specialty-trained therapists to provide post-surgical, overuse and trauma care for hand and upper extremity conditions. We specialize in the fabrication of custom orthotics to improve motion and protect healing tissues. We work closely with the physicians in UF Hand/Orthopedics and UF Plastic Surgery. Our therapists collaborate in research with these physicians and are published in the areas of total shoulder, frozen shoulder, shoulder EMG and exercise, distal radius fractures and intrinsic anatomy of the hand.
