Orthopaedic trauma

Our orthopaedic traumatology team manages the region's most challenging cases. We provide coordinated care for simple fractures to complex accident-related polytrauma at Florida’s most comprehensive, advanced trauma centers in Gainesville and Jacksonville as well as our locations across Florida. No matter the severity of your bone injury, our emergency care specialists will treat your situation with a level of urgency and determine a course of treatment that will guide you down the best path for a speedy recovery..

Physical therapy and rehabilitation

We offer collaborative treatment plans between our orthopaedic team and our rehabilitation and physical therapists as part of your care plan. In most cases, our therapists are on-site in the same location as your appointment.

Radiology

X-rays and ultrasounds are offered on-site at our locations, ensuring our patients have the most streamlined care possible.

Shoulder, elbow and wrist surgery

Our Sports Performance Center provides leading-edge fitness, sport and health assessments for all levels, ages and athletes involved in sports performance. Orthopaedic oncology

UF Health orthopaedic oncology experts are among the most cited in the world. We provide multidisciplinary cancer care through our NCI-designated cancer center, treating both benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors.

Pediatric orthopaedics

Our team of fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeons and pediatric staff provide the most comprehensive and specialized pediatric orthopaedic care in the region. Flagship facility: Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute (OSMI)

Located in Gainesville, the Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute offers complete care under one roof. The facility includes:

  • A 10,000-square-foot gym/treatment area
  • A 1,000-square-foot aquatic exercise pool
  • A dedicated 1,000-square-foot space for functional training
  • A biomechanics lab for motion analysis to improve athletic performance and recovery

Pediatric orthopaedics excellence

Children with musculoskeletal conditions receive specialized care at OSMI, home of the nationally recognized Shriners Center of Excellence. Our fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeons treat spinal deformities, limb differences, congenital disorders, sports injuries, and more.
