Dr. Wendling is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Chief of the Division of Obstetric Anesthesiology, and Assistant Director of the Postanesthesia Care Unit. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University and his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine.

Dr. Wendling is a Diplomate for the American Board of Anesthesiology and is certified by the American Board of Medical Examiners. He also holds an active medical license in Florida. He is a member of many professional societies such as the society for Education in Anesthesia, the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Wendling is an Editorial Board Reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology and Academic Medicine.
