My bio
My name is Adam Wendling, MD, and I am an associate professor in the UF Department of Anesthesiology. I primarily work in the Division of Obstetrical Anesthesiology, where I serve as both chief and clinical research director. I’m also the assistant director of the Postanesthesia Care Unit at UF Health Shands Hospital.
I joined the department as an assistant professor in 2006. I received my bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and my medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. I completed a transitional internship at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, and then an anesthesiology residency and obstetrics and liver transplant anesthesiology fellowship here at the University of Florida.
I am on a number of committees at UF Health, including the OB/GYN Quality and Safety Committee and the Transfusion Committee. I also serve on the editorial boards for Academic Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology as a reviewer.
