Andrew Hayden, MD, is a fellowship-trained, orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at UF Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - Medical Center of Deltona and Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach who uses minimally invasive techniques to treat injuries and conditions of the knee, shoulder, hip, and elbow. Dr. Hayden is an expert shoulder and knee surgeon with specialty training in the rotator cuff, labrum, ACL, meniscus, and cartilage injuries. He also offers minimally invasive joint replacement of the shoulder and knee.
Dr. Hayden is committed to providing patient-centered care and partners with each patient to develop an individualized care plan that meets their needs and gets them back to enjoying the activities they love.
Prior to joining UF Health, Dr. Hayden graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida. He then completed his orthopedic surgical residency in Brooklyn, New York, before being selected for additional sports medicine training at Emory University, where he also served as an assistant team physician for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks. He currently serves as a team physician for athletes at Bethune-Cookman University and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
