About me
My name is Jolene Nasman, MSN, CNM, APRN, and I am a certified nurse midwife in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at UF Health. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and my Master of Nursing in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, where I completed a clinical rotation in midwifery at UF Health.
My desire to have a career in the medical field started early, but midwifery became my focus after experiencing childbirth with one of my own children. I am very adamant about helping my patients feel empowered and allowing them to be completely involved in the development of their care plan. As a medical provider, it is my goal to help women have the beautiful childbirth experience they desire and can reflect upon. I care for women during their antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum course. Additionally, patients see me for annual exams, consultations for birth control options and the treatment of common gynecological conditions, including urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted infections.
Outside of medicine, I am a proud wife and mother to four children. In my free time, enjoy traveling and vacationing on cruise ships.
