About me
Hello! My name is Sandy Kamhoot and I am a family nurse practitioner at UF Health Family Medicine – Springhill. I am passionate about making a positive impact in people’s lives. Every day, I strive to help people learn how to take the best care of themselves so that they can enjoy their lives to the fullest extent.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Family Medicine from United States University. I also have training in dermatology, pediatrics, and rural medicine, along with 13 years of teaching experience in the practical nursing program at Santa Fe College.
As an advanced practice registered nurse certified in family medicine (APRN-C), my goal is to provide comprehensive and holistic care. I believe in the power of plant-based foods to improve health, and I earned a plant-based nutrition certification from Cornell University, reinforcing my commitment to supporting patients achieve a healthy life.
In my spare time, I enjoy HIIT cardio workouts, running stadium steps, walking on the beach, traveling, hiking and spending time with friends and family. My family and I are committed to family values and community engagement. In our 34 years of marriage, my spouse and I have successfully raised two wonderful children who are also actively involved in community service.
