My bio

My name is Siva Sriharan, MBBCh, MSc, FRCS(C), FAANS, and I’m a neurosurgeon specializing in spine issues, including complex spine conditions.

I graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, with a MMBCH(Hons) in medicine and surgery and went on to complete a combined medicine and surgery internship at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. I completed my residency at University of Alberta Hospitals and Clinics in Canada, where I also earned a Master of Science in Experimental Surgery. I then completed a complex spine surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I was initially in academic practice at the University of Toronto before moving to private practice in Windsor, Canada.

Before joining the UF Department of Neurosurgery in 2019, I practiced at McLaren Bay Region Hospital and Mercy Health — St. Vincent Medical Center in Ohio.

In addition to treating patients, I conduct research into developing implants for spine stabilization procedures and creating artificial intelligence (AI) models of the spine to advance diagnostic and treatment algorithms.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, as well as our golden retriever. I also like spending time outdoors and listening to music.
