Cancer and cancer treatments can create unique challenges for patients in terms of their functional level and well-being.
Therapists working for UF Health Rehab Centers work closely with patients and their medical team to assist patients in overcoming these challenges, which may present themselves to those being treated for breast cancer, post-mastectomy, lymphedema, head and neck cancer, bone marrow transplants and more.
We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy and massage therapy services for patients experiencing problems associated with surgery or due to side effects of chemotherapy or radiation treatment. These services improve patients’ level of function, maintain an independent lifestyle, address fatigue and improve quality of life.
