My bio
Isaac Mitchell, MD, earned his medical degree from The Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education in Winston-Salem, NC. Following medical school, he completed a general surgery internship and his orthopaedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Institute.
Dr. Mitchell has joined the UF Health-Leesburg orthopaedics staff and is a member of The Regional Physician Network. Prior to joining the team, he served in various leadership roles at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, including department of surgery chairman and chairman of the orthopaedic department. His clinical interests include the rotator cuff, shoulder replacement and knee, wrist and elbow pain.
Dr. Mitchell has been published in several publications and has given various presentations on a variety of topics including comprehensive shoulder replacement and fracture management. In his spare time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys basketball and serving as a mentor through multiple programs.
