My bio
Poonam Kapadia, M.D., is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis, graduating with honors and a double-major in biology and anthropology. She subsequently earned her medical degree from the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida and completed her internship in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kapadia completed her internal medicine training at the University of Central Florida and then pursued a two-year fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism with the University of Florida in Jacksonville.
Dr. Kapadia’s clinical interests include the management of diabetes and thyroid disease, as well as adrenal and pituitary pathology. She is committed to working with her patients to provide them the tools and education necessary to manage their diabetes and minimize complications from this chronic disease. Along with practicing medicine, Dr. Kapadia enjoys trying new recipes, traveling and spending time with her husband and young son.
