My bio

My name is Robert Feezor, MD, and I am a vascular surgeon and associate chief medical officer within the UF Health – Halifax Health partnership. I am a member of the division of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy within the University of Florida College of Medicine. My father was a hospital administrator and had significant health problems from a young age. His respect for physicians and the health care system were my initial motivation for becoming a doctor.

After majoring in chemistry at Davidson College in North Carolina, I attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. I completed my general surgery residency at UF, during which I completed a National Institutes of Health-funded T32 research fellowship in trauma and burns. I served as administrative chief resident and then transitioned to the vascular surgery fellowship program.

I served as UF faculty from 2008 to 2016 and was awarded tenure by the Board of Trustees. I was awarded the National Resident Award for Exemplary Teaching by the American College of Surgeons in 2005, the Hugh M. Hill Award for outstanding resident teacher in the College of Medicine in both 2005 and 2006 and the Department's Outstanding Faculty Award in 2010. I had the honor of being the vascular surgery fellowship program director from 2010 until 2016. I transitioned to Daytona in November of 2016. I have a large administrative leadership role in the UF Health – Halifax Health partnership where we continue to grow the joint programs, focusing on expertise, quality and compassion.

I specialize in the treatment of carotid disease, peripheral artery disease, dialysis access and aortic pathology (aneurysms, dissections). I would like my current and future patients to know that I believe the manner in which care is delivered is equally as important as surgical skill and judgment. We strive to make sure our practice is personable and welcoming to all patients.

I love being a dad to my three sons and supporting them in sports (baseball and crew) and music (piano and orchestra). I am an avid sports fan, especially basketball, and still try to hit the courts as much as I can.
