The UF Health Children's Surgical Center is a four-operating-room surgical facility devoted to child and adolescent care.
Fully staffed by a team of children's specialists, the center's University of Florida College of Medicine pediatric specialty surgeons, anesthesiologists and physicians are qualified to perform the outpatient surgical procedure your child needs. That includes dental surgery, ear/nose/throat surgery, eye surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, general surgery, hematologic/oncologic surgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery and urologic surgery.
Every nurse and staff member is a pediatric specialist, and like the UF Health Shands Children's Hospital, the nature-themed décor is designed to be warm and inviting for a child facing the often scary experience of surgery. The center offers both efficiency and easy accessibility for patients and their families — including separate areas for preoperative care, postanesthesia care and postoperative recovery — a testament to UF Health’s commitment to personalized care.
The UF Health Children’s Surgical Center is connected to the UF Health Florida Surgical Center, an outpatient surgery center for adults, but has a separate entrance and floor space.
