UF Health The Villages® Hospital Auxiliary Foundation is proud to award more than $100,000 in scholarships annually to local high school seniors and hospital employees who wish to pursue or advance their career in the health care field. Since its inception in 2015, the Scholarship Program has flourished thanks to our many generous donors.

“By offering these scholarships, the Foundation hopes to encourage and enable high school seniors and hospital team members to pursue degrees or certificates in the health care industry for jobs that need to be filled. It’s good for the students and it’s good for the hospital.” - Gary Kadow, Foundation board member and chair of the Scholarship Review Committee

2022 awards

In May of 2022, nine high school students and eighteen hospital team members were awarded scholarships totaling $108,000! Selected students represented South Sumter High School, Wildwood Middle High School, and The Villages Charter High School while the selected hospital team members represented fifteen different hospital departments.
