The priority of the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Clinic is providing sensitive, age-appropriate and comprehensive care for young girls and adolescents with a variety of gynecological issues, including:
- Ovarian cysts and other pelvic masses
- Pelvic Pain
- Endometriosis
- Abnormal menstrual cycles
- Amenorrhea (no menstrual cycles)
- Vulvar abnormalities including labial aggultination and condyloma
- Vaginal discharge and infections
- Contraceptive management
Additionally, we provide consultation for young women who have chronic health conditions that may complicate general gynecologic assessment and care, including bleeding disorders, developmental delay, neurological and automimmune disorders. Since the unique health care needs of many of our young females requires a coordinated multidisciplinary approach, we collaborate with other pediatric and adolescent services here at UF Health.
