Pediatric ER & Pediatrics After Hours
By locating the Pediatric ER and Pediatrics After Hours services, we’re providing families with a convenient, one-stop children’s health center for urgent after-hours and emergency care. The co-location of these services allows us to better use existing resources, expand capacity and efficiency, and improve our focus on patient safety and outstanding quality care.
Part of our Forward Together strategic plan, establishing the new Pediatric ER is an exciting step in our plan to create the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital on the UF Health Shands Hospital north campus. Our long-term goals include a separate children’s hospital entrance with services located on adjacent floors. Learn more.
