Each day, a Patient Nutrition Representative will come to the patient’s room and assist with meal selections.
Vending machines are available 24 hours a day. They are located next to the cafeteria in the Food Court. Soft drink machines are located on most patient floors in the hospital.

Located on the first floor, the UF Health Shands Hospital cafeteria features a complete breakfast, lunch and dinner menu that includes hot meals, soups, On the Go, and desserts. Nutritional information about the menu is available. In addition to the Classic meal line, there is an exhibition food station where food is prepared at the station for guests. All food is available for takeout.

Café dining options include a full-service salad bar and small stations with a variety of healthy foods. The area has plenty of indoor seating for patients, visitors and staff, plus outside terraces on both sides.

Located on the first floor of UF Health Psychiatric Hospital on the Spring Hill Campus. The UF Health Café Vista features Breakfast and Lunch options which includes hot entrée choices, soups, On the Go salads & sandwiches and desserts.
Daily features; fresh individual pizzas, made to order hot sandwiches and burgers are available throughout the day.

Each day, a Patient Nutrition Representative will come to the patient’s room and assist with meal selections. A paper menu will be provided upon request and for designated units. Contact a Patient Nutrition Representative at 4-3859 or 258-1810 with any questions or special food requests.
Check with a nurse or the Patient Nutrition Representative before offering food to a patient or, if you are a patient, before consuming foods that are not on the approved menu. Many patients are on special diets ordered by the physician because of the following criteria:
In conjunction with physicians and other members of the health care team, our registered dietitians provide individualized, age-specific nutrition plans to various inpatient and outpatient populations, including neonatal and pediatric intensive care, pediatric genetics, ketogenics, enteral and parenteral nutrition, medical and surgical intensive care, renal, burn, bone marrow and other transplants.
Registered dietitians are assigned to the patient units and can be reached by cell phone or pager. Ask your patient floor unit clerk for the Dietitian’s cell phone number. To contact a Dietitian after 5 p.m., call the hospital operator for the Dietitian on call (available until midnight). To contact a Dietitian during weekends, call the hospital operator for the weekend Dietitian pager number.
